Children's Message: David is Anointed

Sometimes we find help in unexpected places. Looks can be deceiving, and we can’t always predict the nature and purpose of things, even in our own lives. We might think we don’t have much to offer, but God has an important plan. When Samuel went to anoint King David, he expected one of the older stronger brothers would surely be God’s pick, but God reminded him that looks are not as important as what’s in the heart. This message explains the story by using simple household objects that have double purposes. We have special purpose when we devote our lives to the Lord!

Kristin is a servant of Christ who is blessed to currently be serving as Directory of Christian Education at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO. Originally a California native, Kristin has a master's in teaching from Biola University, as well as a master's in theology and a DCE certificate from Concordia Irvine. She spent several years in Georgia before being called to Colorado. She is overjoyed to be the mother of Samuel and wife of Colten, who also serves full-time at Risen Savior as Worship Director. In addition to enjoying her dream vocation, she also loves running, baking, music, history, and strong coffee.
