Описание к видео Joan Sutherland at Covent Garden - Midnight Gala - in aid for Darwin appeal fund -25 January 1975

This gala concert was organized at the last moment to raise funds for the victims of the Darwin cyclone, that had destroyed the city on Christmas eve 1974. It was given on television and recorded by Decca. Joan Sutherland was supported by several Australian singers as well Louis Quilico and Graham Clark. This concert was given in the midst of a series of Traviata performances given at Covent Garden with Kraus and Quilico !
