In this video, we showcase a very interesting team made that highlights a lot of niche options like Frosmoth, Skuntank, & Kommo-O for the Regulation G format for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet VGC. This team was made by Nyphus, and they used it to WIN an Midseason Showdown, and also got top-128 at Los Angeles Regionals - good enough to earn CP! Frosmoth is a very bulky ice/bug type with access to Wide Guard and with the Grassy Seed from Rillaboom, you're able to take a lot of attacks relatively well. Skuntaank as a Poison/Dark type and the Assault Vest gives a solid matchup into other meta threats like a Calyrex-Shadow Rider and Super Fang & Feint allow for plays where we click Astral Barrage against unprotected and well-chipped opponents. Thundurus with Eerie Impulse allows more damage reduction and speed control, while Kommo-O with the leftovers can give you a Terapagos matchup thanks to iron-Defense Body Press plays along with a key throat chop to remove important items.
