CX405 Internal Microphone Sound - Some Ideas to Consider

Since making a video about the CX405 months back, I have had mainly messages and emails about the sound.

The CX405 has no microphone input so if you want to get the best from it, you need audio editing skills in order to alleviate noise which is inevitable from an in camera microphone.

If this isn't going to be easy for you, then I would suggest a Zoom H1 recorder with a lavalier into it. Then it needs to be sync'd with the camera audio later, in post.

Having said that, I do find that in the 'noisy' outdoors, the noise levels of the Sony CX405 are less troublesome and generally, they just need to be normalised and for speech, converted to 'mono',
