How to make the 20th Century - a delightful gin drink!

Описание к видео How to make the 20th Century - a delightful gin drink!

Today I’m showing you how to make the 20th Century! I love this drink because (1) it’s reminiscent of the Corpse Reviver No. 2 - a favorite of mine, and (2) it has an unexpected pairing - lemon with chocolate. These two flavors compliment each other when sweet and sour are in balance, but finding that balance can be tricky. Not all crème de cacaos (the chocolate component) taste the same. A lot of recipes cut back the chocolate to focus on the lemon and gin, but I find these drinks too thin and acidic. Besides, it’s disappointing when you can’t tasted the chocolate in a drink with crème de cacao! That’s why my recipe doesn’t shy away from the chocolate - it’s all equal parts. The result is a balance of sweet, sour, and bright botanicals. Be sure to use a flavorful gin, fresh juice, and a quality crème de cacao that you enjoy (and for you chocoholics, try the addition of a good dark crème de cacao!). Cheers, everyone!
