It was another long planned expedition of team Shangshaptak Avijatri to the wild east. This time our main objective was to measure the height of Mukhra Thuthai Haphong to clarify or light up some confusions with another peak Thindwalte Tlang whether it is the 7th highest peak or 8th. After this successful expedition, we were able to prove with solid grounds that Mukhra Thuthai is the 7th highest peak of our country, not Thindwalte Tlang. CIA & Soviet topographic map & S.R.T.M data also support & justify our claim. Not much data can be found about Mukhra Thuthai as only ''BD Explorer'' summitted this peak some years ago & they measured the height approximately 3129 ft. So this expedition was a challenge for us.

It was never an easy expedition for us as the target area was not only very remote & wild but also there were many security concerns. After the very tragic abduction event near Shepru Jhiri in October, 2015, this area remained totally restricted to the adventure loving travelers till now. We took the challenge and in the end we all felt the same that we were really very lucky.

We not only summitted the Mukhra but also summitted Laisra Haphong, Kopital, Naag Pahar & the famous Tin Mukh/Tin Matha Pillar peak. Tin Mukh pillar is a border pillar which is basically the junction point of the border of three countries Bangladesh, India & Myanmar.

There were so many stories to tell. May be some other days we will disclose them. This video is a small attempt to keep the memories.
