Blooming Camellia japonica (Japanese Camellia)

I watched the Camellia japonica (known as common camellia, Japanese Camellia or tsubaki in Japanese) plant in my backyard bloom from first week of Jan 2021 till Feb 1st. I took pictures occasionally with the intention of capturing the blooming process. I hope you enjoy seeing the beautiful camellia flowers bloom through these pictures.

The Camellia japonica plant stays green through the year, and blooms the flowers just for few winter months until spring time. The camellia flowers look like roses.
