Cut the onion into thin slices and set aside.
Cut raw bacon into small pieces and set aside.
On medium heat, cook the bacon until its golden brown.
When bacon is golden brown, add the onions and cook for about 3-4 minutues.
Add the cabbage and mix the ingredients well. Season cabbage and add minced garlic.
Again, stir and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 10-15 minutes on low, until cabbage is tender.

Cornbread:
1 1⁄2 cups flour
1 ⁄2 cup cornmeal
2 ⁄3 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 ⁄2 tsp salt
1 1⁄4 cups milk
1 ⁄3 cup oil
3 tbsp melted butter
3 tbsp honey
2 eggs, beaten

Grease a baking pan and set aside. Preheat oven to 350º. Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
Then add the milk, oil, melted butter, honey, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix and then pour the batter into a greased pan or cast iron.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Chicken:
8 whole chicken wings
3 tablespoons of mustard
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Wash and dry chicken.
In a bowl add chicken and seasonings.
Add mustard and mix.
Coat the chicken thoroughly.
Add oil to a pot and heat oil on medium high heat.
Add 2 cups of flour to a ziplock bag.
Now add the a few chicken wings to the bag and coat with flour.
Fry the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, until done and golden brown

Yams
- 5 medium sized yams
- 8 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1 Tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 Tsp. ground clove
- 1/4 Tsp. ground ginger
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash and peel yams. Slice yams into 1/2 inch pieces.
Arrange the yams in a baking dish and set aside. Melt butter into a pan over medium low heat.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon, clove and nutmeg along with the brown and white sugar.
Stir the mixture thoroughly.

Remove pan from the current eye, to an eye that’s off and already cool because you don’t
want to over cook the mixture. Now add the vanilla extract to the mixture and stir.
Pour the mixture in the pan, coating the yams thoroughly.
Cover with foil and bake yams at 350 degrees for
about 35 minutes, then spoon some of the juices from the pan over the yams.
Put them back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven let sit for about 10 minutes because it’s extremely hot.
