Zach Wilson is the sixth generation to lead Wilson Cattle Company working with Mother Nature to figure out the best economic input that will result in gains in the pasture.

Eastern Oregon isn’t known for cattle feeding, but that didn’t stop the fifth generation of Wilson’s from starting Beef Northwest. The family cattle feeding business is led by progressive thinkers who harness resources from the landscape: potatoes. With a french-fry factory just down the road, tater tots, fries and jojos that don’t make spec become the basis for high-quality cattle feed.
