This video is about Initial issues having received long awaited (pre-ordered) two Southern Pacific AML GP60s which include factory switch board and all lights. Though the GP60s were excellently packaged with respect to the rigors of shipping, some minor things happened. (Both locos suffered broken off front air hose, and the unsecured metal plate under the removable dynamic brake housing (which includes function labels and covers switches & connector) was allowed to flail about.) As to performance, the locos run excellently and draw little current (about an amp), but when using track power they traverse the track in the opposite direction compared to Aristo-Craft and USA Trains locos. Also, because both axles in the trucks are rigidly mounted, a wheel tread may raise up and not touch the railhead, even with little railhead height variation,- effectively loosing traction and loosing power pickup on that wheel; however, these issues can be dealt with.
