VIOLENCIA on Robbs MetalWorks 2024

The underground hardcore scene has always had a special place in my metal heart, since our early days in '96 when we would shoot shows at the DMZ off Cupples Road; and since that time undoubtedly the genre has grown & diversified itself into an international brand continuing to harness the youthful angst, the political unrest & the speedy-aggressive manner by which we all came to respect it for. SO, earlier this year while my Crew & I were meeting one evening & jammin to various obscure bands,...Tiajuana, Mexico's VIOLENCIA came blaring through the speakers & it quickly took me back to those aforementioned early days. What most noteably caught my attention was the tight intricacy of the riffs, but more so, the intense Spanish delivery of vocalist, Gobi Longobardi. I dug it! What I soon came to find out was that the band had just dropped their FIRST full-length release, 'Viviendo Tiempos Aun Mas Oscuros' last Summer AND that they would be in back in SA on March 11th, 2024. The RMW Crew took the opportunity to chat it up with the band & get all scoop on who they are & their new music.
