Queensland will be the focus of wet weather conditions over New Year’s celebrations as storms approach the coastline.

Severe storms including heavy rain and damaging winds will take place in the state’s south-east inland areas on Monday afternoon.

Sky News Meteorologist Rob Sharpe revealed the remainder of the country will experience warm and sunny conditions.
