Everyone loves #maruya! This popular Filipino street food features sliced saba bananas that are coated and deep-fried until crisp and golden. These are usually peddled on streets as a morning or afternoon snack. Let’s start cooking #SimpolMaruya!

INGREDIENTS
6 saba bananas
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
cooking oil, for frying
2 tablespoons sugar, for topping
