Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Superwinch UT3000 Utility Winch with the roller fairlead and a 3000 pound line pull rating. This Superwinch UT3000 is a nice, lightweight utility winch that can be used either as a portable tool, or it can be permanently mounted using this included two-bolt pattern mounting plate. We really see, we already have the 4-way roller fairlead attached to the mounting plate. Now, we'll include everything laid out here on the table. Utility Winch with the wire rope, and the latch hook.
We mentioned the heavy duty 4-way roller fairlead, and the mounting plate. Also this nice rubberized handheld remote with the 12 foot long cord. The weather sealed solenoid and all the wiring you need. Nice circuit breaker, mounting brackets, and mounting hardware. And right here, a nice owner's guide that'll describe how everything connects and how it operates. This is a low draw, 12 volt DC, 1.2 horsepower, permanent magnet motor with a 3000 pound line pull.
It'll easily attach to, and is powered by your car battery, or an auxiliary 12 volt battery if it's used away from your vehicle, we've mentioned, it does offer circuit breaker protection. It does use a full metal differential planetary gear train, with a pull and turn free spooling clutch to ensure secure gear engagement. Right here on the end, if you notice this handle right here, with it fully pushed in, like it is now, then you can operate the winch. If you want to free spool it, you just pull this out, and then twist it, and it'll hold it in the open position. And that'll allow you to free spool as much rope as you need out. Once you get out as much as you need, just twist it back, push it in.
Now it's engaged and ready to go. A very nice clutch there.Does offer a gear ratio of 153:1, and it does offer dynamic braking to minimize winch rope slippage. We had mentioned this rubberized remotes switch here. This whole part is rubberized, and it has the toggle switch. It says out when you go up, and in, when you go down.
While this remote will allow for a nice, safe distance between the user and the winch in all situations. And it plugs into the solenoid right at the top here. If you pull the cap open, take your cord. There's little notch that lines up, just push it down and now you're connected. You can operate it from 12 feet away, and then when you're not using it, just unplug it. And go ahead and put your cap back on solenoid. It does come with 40 feet of 3/16 diameter wire rope. We mentioned the 4-way roller fairlead to keep it from damaging the wire rope. You can see when it goes to the side, two vertical rollers will protect it, and it has the two horizontal rollers. It does have a removable clevis pin latch hook, with this nice hand saver strap, and the solenoid that we mentioned, it is a weather sealed solenoid, and you can see it has the wiring all included to ensure safe, reliable power in all weather. And it is marked. You can see this says, motor connection." So these wires will connect to your motor. Here it says power cord. These will go to your battery. But that should do it for the review on the Superwinch UT 3000 Utility Winch with the roller fairlead, and a 3000 pound line pull rating.
