1946 Charioteers - On The Boardwalk (In Atlantic City)

11 years prior to his million-selling “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter,” Billy Williams and his popular 1940s harmony group The Charioteers recorded this tribute to the “romantic enchantic” city on the New Jersey shore. The tune appeared in the 1946 film musical “Three Little Girls In Blue,” which also yielded the familiar “You Make Me Feel So Young.”
