How to Clean your Camping Gear (properly!)

This is a video of How to Clean your Camping Gear properly. Your backpacking tent is one of the most important items you take away with you. You need your tent to protect you from the elements. Over time, without maintenance, your tent may start to fail. To avoid this, use these Nikwax products to clean and maintain your tent.

Firstly wash your tent with Nikwax Solarwash. Spray it on, rub it in wish a sponge and then spray it off. For non-tent use, I would use a wet sponge to lightly wash it off instead of a hose. Repeat the process for Solarproof.

You can also use these products on your backpack bag and other hard to clean backpacking gear items.

I also use Nikwax products on my hiking gear too but I'll create a separate video for that because there are some unique products that do a great job too.
