In September 2013, communal riots broke out after the murder of Muslim and Hindu youths in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. More than 60 people were killed, and thousands of people fled their villages to never return. Though ten years have passed since the riots, people who lost their loved ones, homes, and livelihoods remain entangled in an endless cycle of suffering.
