오랑우탄 보라의 놀이 시간 Orangutan Bora plays with toys

서울대공원은 행동풍부화를 위해서 사람이 쓰는 물건, 장난감 등을 유인원에게 자주 지급합니다. 야생에서의 습성을 되살리기 위한 물건도 있지만, 따분한 동물원 감금 생활을 조금이라도 재밌게 보내기 위한 놀이 장난감도 있습니다. 보라(보르네오 순혈 ♀, 2004년 개인 밀반입 개체를 압류 후 서울대공원 기증)는 도구 활용 능력과 모방 능력이 뛰어나 뭐든 잘 가지고 놉니다. 사육사가 쓰는 방법을 알려줄때도 있지만, 본인이 찾아내거나 관람객이나 다른 사람들을 보고 따라해서 물건의 활용 방법을 알아냅니다.
Seoul Grand Park often provides human-use items, toys, etc. to great apes for behavioral enrichment. Some items are intended to revive their habits in the wild, but others are meant to make life a little fun in the dreary zoo confinement. Bora (Bornean orangutan ♀, donated to Seoul Grand Park after seizing personal smugglers in 2004) is good at using tools and imitating anything. Zookeepers sometimes teach Bora how to use them, but she find out by herself, or she copy visitors or others behavior to figure out how to use them.
