Tecsun PL-380 Shortwave Portable Radio Daytime MW

The Tecsun PL-380 AM FM LW Shortwave Portable Radio gets a workout on the Daytime Medium Wave Band. A fantastic tuner, this radio is still a viable purchase in the 2020's. The big pluses for this radio are the premium feel buttons, large LCD display, Compact Size, and the use of normal AA batteries. Having tons of presets and a AM Bandwidth control will keep you busy for many years to come.

Overall, the radio does fantastic during the day on the Medium Wave band. The Terk Advantage Passive loop continues to help pull in those distant stations. Stay tuned for future reviews of the newer Tecsun radios coming to market and if they are worthy of the extra money versus the older tried and true 310s and 380s.
