I've always loved storytellers in jazz like Mose Allison and Ben Sidran. As well as both being serious jazz pianists, they chose to tell funny, serious, sad, whimsical stories that gave jazz another flavour beyond the classic 'jazz singers'.
I wrote this rather silly song after a phrase my Mum used recently that I'd never heard her say in all the time I've known her - (which is quite a long time).
