His Korean name is Tae Yoon which means great hearted or greater good. Deputy Lee and his parents moved to United States when he was eight years old. Growing up Korean American, he was the kid with the unusual lunch at school. He experienced stereotypes, micro-aggressions and racism. He tried to blend in, but a higher purpose was calling him. Watch how Deputy Lee is using his heritage to engage with the communities we serve, as well as further representation in the Sheriff's Department.
