Sara’s mother, Aleksandra Blagojević, and father, Miloš Kuprešanin, have been tirelessly searching for their child’s grave for years. Over the past year, they’ve been joined in their quest by journalists from the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN).

The cameras have closely followed Aleksandra and Miloš’s struggle as they navigate the obstacles within the system. Despite the support from journalists, they faced challenges in opening doors of companies, institutions, and establishments connected to their tragic experience.

At the Republika Srpska University Clinical Center in Banja Luka, an average of 20 newborns pass away annually. If parents do not claim their bodies following the autopsy, UKCRS sends them to the Public Enterprise “Gradsko groblje” [City Cemetery]. There, these infants are laid to rest alongside others who shared a similar fate.

In their relentless search for Sara, her parents were compelled to exhume two bodies from a children’s plot at the Banja Luka cemetery on Pobrđe.
