This video is about a super delicious popular Bengali sweet Sandesh or chanar sondesh. This famous Bengali sweets recipe is a 10 minute recipe and also very easy to prepare with only 3 ingredients.
This sweet is a milk based sweet from curdled milk or chhena and then mixed with sugar before shaping it oval. The other variation also include cream based which is popularly known as malai sandesh or malai sondesh recipe

Popular Bengali Sweet - Sandesh ♥️

-very easy to make in 10mins.
-very few ingredients

Ingredients:
-Milk 1Litre
-Lemon juice - freshly squeezed from one lemon diluted with 4tbsp water
-Powdered sugar 4tbsp
-Cardamom powder 1tbsp
-kesar pista to garnish

Method:
-Boil Milk in a pan , stir occasionally
-When the milk boils, switch off the flame and let the milk cool for 5mins. (Very important step) for chhena to be soft)
-now add lemon juice diluted with water to milk
-as it starts to curdle, do not add more lemon juice.
-Strain using a muslin cloth
-let it cool down a bit then knead for 5mins on adding powdered sugar and elaychi powder
-becomes very very soft and smooth
take the chenna in a pan and saute it over low heat
-make sure to saute it in low flame only and stirring continuously : took me exact 3mins.
-take off the pan let the mixture cool a bit
-knead once more for 1min.
-make lemon sized oval balls shape it like a Sandesh
-garnish with kesar&pista as desired

Important note: Do not throw the whey, its nutrient dense. Use it for dal, curries kneading roti.

P.S. -its not overly sweet - less sugar
-its not heavy - no ghee
