A one-off Eurohouse offering on the Fresh label, from 1994. Infinity was actually ex-Frankie Goes To Hollywood drummer, Peter Gill (AKA Pedro or Ped) and vocalist Meryl K. 'U Really Got Me' is of course a cover of The Kinks' garage rock classic, 'You Really Got Me', written by Ray Davies and originally released in 1964. Released 30 years later, Infinity's update of the track missed out on a chart placing entirely. The Fresh label didn't have to wait long for chart success however as Strike scored the first of five UK top 40 hits later the same year with 'U Sure Do', which went on to peak at #4 the following year. Peter Gill was also a member of Lovestation, with songwriter / producer Dave Morgan and musician Vicky Aspinall (ex-The Raincoats, ex-Dorothy), both of whom founded the Fresh label together in 1992. A dance rework of Womack & Womack's 'Teardrops' was Lovestation's biggest success, hitting UK #14 in 1998.
