A weekday drive around Jakarta, Indonesia during rush hour from Gambir near National Monument (Monas) to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and ends at FX Sudirman.

Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Lying on the northwest coast of Java, the world's most populous island, Jakarta is the largest city in Southeast Asia and serves as the diplomatic capital of ASEAN. Jakarta is a huge, sprawling metropolis, home to over 10 million people with diverse ethnic group backgrounds from all over Indonesia.

Jakarta is not only the seat of the national government and the provincial government, but it is also Indonesia’s political center. Moreover, Jakarta is the hub of Indonesia’s national finance and trade. It is no wonder, that you will find Jakarta a dynamic city, with activities taking place around the clock throughout its populated areas.

Gambir is a busy area known for Merdeka Square, a vast, grassy plaza containing the soaring National Monument. Nearby, the National Museum houses ceremonial weapons and statues, and Taman Prasasti Museum is an 18th-century Dutch cemetery with elaborate tombstones. One of the busiest railway stations, Gambir Station, is in the district's focal Gambir neighborhood (an underlying Administrative Village as the translation is usually rendered).

Jalan Jenderal Sudirman or called Sudirman is a major thoroughfare in Jakarta, Indonesia. Named after Indonesian national hero namely General of the Army Raden Sudirman, the road runs for 4 km from Patung Pemuda Membangun at the south end to the bridge of the West Flood Canal to the north, where it meets Jalan M.H. Thamrin. The road had been built between 1949 and 1953 to connect Central Jakarta with Kebayoran Baru.
