Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X: THE DAY of Σ OVA [HQ]

Описание к видео Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X: THE DAY of Σ OVA [HQ]

Uploaded to complement my playthrough of Mega Man X, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list...

Japanese version (with English subtitles) can be found here:    • Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X: THE DAY ...

Second upload of the OVA, this time being the English dubbed version. If the voice acting in the Japanese version was good, you certainly can't expect any less from the English dubbing, done just as professionally by Ocean Studios, which certainly are no strangers when it comes to Mega Man.

NOTE: My intentions initially were to upload this in HD, but I confronted a few hindrances that ultimately forced me to give up trying. Regardless, I made sure to keep the video's quality as close to the original as possible.

Enjoy!

PS: Even though the person that shared this version prefers anonymity, just like me, I'm certain each viewer appreciates your contribution. Thank you!

Here's a little information about the OVA:

• This OVA is included with the Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X video game, and becomes available upon beating the game.
• This OVA serves as a prologue to the game.
• Capcom meant to remake the first six games in the series, so this OVA was meant to be a retelling of the story; however, given that Capcom hasn't furthered the Maverick Hunter X series, most fans consider this OVA purely non-canonical to the X series as a whole.
• Interestingly, in the initial stages of the Mega Man X game for the SNES, the first stage, Central Highway, had a very similar design to the city portrayed in this OVA.
• Dr. Cain seemingly dies when the missiles impact Abel City; however, he was still alive during the events of Mega Man X2, X3, and Xtreme, and was mentioned in the instruction manual of X4. It's often debated whether or not he survived. (It should be noted that this OVA essentially has no relevance with the original games.)
• The scene where Sigma releases Vile from prison is a tad longer in the English version—by about a minute or two.
• Interestingly, the phrase, "evolution requires sacrifice", was later said by Serpent, the main antagonist of Mega Man ZX. Additionally, it is purportedly a quote from Keiji Inafune himself.
• A rather interesting note regarding how Sigma got his scars, is that there are three versions of it: 1) he got them during his fight with Zero in Mega Man X4, 2) he did it himself upon going Maverick using the heat of his fingers in the Mega Man X manga, and 3) X scarred his face upon releasing his limitless potential, as seen in this video.
• OVA stands for "original video animation" and can also be written as OAV.
