BARATANG:- Baratang Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island lies 150 km North of Port Blair.
The island belongs to the Great Andaman Chain, and with an area of 242.6 square kilometres. It is one of the main islands of the group, a closely set archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, adjoining the Andaman Sea. Middle Andaman is to its north, and South Andaman to the south. Beaches, mangrove creeks, limestone caves, and mud volcanoes are some of the physical features.

JARAWA FOREST:-
The Jarawa are a nomadic tribe of hunter gatherers who live in the western regions of the South and Middle Andaman Islands. They are believed to be descendants of the Jangli tribe and have lived in the islands for over 2,000 years. The Jarawa language is part of the larger Ongan and Great Andamanese linguistic families and is considered vulnerable. In their language, the Jarawa call themselves "people", but the word "Järawa" means "foreigners" in Aka-Bea, the language of their traditional enemies.

LIMESTONE CAVES :-
Located in Baratang Island, Limestone Caves is one of the best as well as unique tourist attractions in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. These naturally formed caves are a visual treat to nature enthusiasts. Formed at the bottom of the sea, limestone is a sedimentary rock. It takes millions of years when deposits of marine life, corals, shells, and skeletons go through a natural compression in order to form unique shapes within the cave. Holding the secret of a million years of the Andaman Islands, these caves are lined up with stalactites and stalagmites. When travelling to the Andamans, include these caves in your itinerary that are nestled deep within the mangroves and surrounded by the lush rainforest.

MUD VOLCANOS:-
The Mud Volcano on Baratang Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a small, bubbling mud puddle that is India's only known example of a mud volcano. It's a natural wonder that's created by natural gases from decaying organic matter underground that push mud upwards. The volcano erupts sporadically, releasing natural gases like methane as explosions. Recent eruptions occurred in 2003 and 2005, with the 2005 eruption believed to be linked to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. Locals call the volcano julki.
