After a 20-year absence, Chidimma Adetshina has returned to her father’s homeland to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant. As usual, the pageant will showcase beauty, intelligence, and cultural pride with the hope of crowning one beauty queen who will receive 10 million Naira and represent Nigeria at the upcoming Miss Universe competition in Mexico in November 2024.

According to the National Director of the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, Guy Murray-Bruce, the pageant empowers women to do greater things. And there is no lie in this after we watched Mitchell Ukachukwu nee Ihezue repping the Nigerian culture at the 2023 Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador 2023. Unfortunately, the elegant and confident beauty queen who had everything it takes didn’t make it to the Top 10 finalist. Of course, many people blamed her sponsors for poor publicity, as many Nigerians weren’t even aware of the representation and talked more about voting for her.
