Before attempting any of these methods, it’s important to begin by thoroughly washing and drying your hands.

Whether you’re using daily disposable lenses or reusable ones, open the case or blister and gently scoop out the lens with your index finger.
Triple-check that you’re using the appropriate lens, as you may have different prescriptions for each eye.

Also make sure that the lens is oriented correctly — it should form a bowl shape. If it appears to have a "lip," it means it’s inside out. If the lenses appear dirty, give them a clean with contact lens solution before inserting them.
