The 9 best running drills - learn how top athletes improve their running technique through track drills for speed and efficiency gains.

Here's a short compilation of running drills to do to get FASTER and to have better RUNNING FORM.

The drills include
- High Knees
- Tucked High Knees
- Heel Flicks
- Knee Drives (High and Low)
- Double Tap
- Quick Step

- Leg Cycling

Running drills are a fantastically useful tool for helping athletes to understand their technique better by breaking down the running action into it's component parts, improving them and putting them back together again with a full action. It is vital the athlete and / or coach understands fully why they are doing this, what the drill is for and can then re-insert the component back into the full model for execution.

Drills will perform the goal of improving a running action in two ways

1 - by improving the athletes understanding and execution of more efficient mechanics

2 - repeated drills will condition the requisite muscles to be able to repeated perform this sound mechanics on a repeated basis.

These can be used as sprint drills for speed or by all athletes for improving technique. To get the best running form you'll want to do a lot of these drills.
