EHDEN 101, Course 1: What is Real World Data, Real World Evidence?

Описание к видео EHDEN 101, Course 1: What is Real World Data, Real World Evidence?

The European Health Data and Evidence Network, or EHDEN for short, aims to improve patient care by generating high-quality #evidence from #health data standardised to the #OMOP Common Data Model. EHDEN’s mission is to reduce the time to provide an answer in real world, health research. It will achieve this by developing the required infrastructure in a federated network at scale across Europe, collaboration on research methodologies, and education in an open science collaboration.

This series of introductory courses were designed because several of the key concepts central to the EHDEN project can be technical in nature, and challenging to understand for non-expert readers, particularly patients, patient organisations, and citizens.

This series of courses will help to equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to meaningfully engage with the EHDEN project, and other health data and governance topics beyond.

This brief 6 minute course is designed to help you get up to speed with the foundational concepts of health data, and the basics of using #healthdata in terms of creating, using and analysing it.

In this first course, you will learn:
What is real world data? #RealWorldData #RWD
What is real world evidence? #RealWorldEvidence #RWE
And what is a real world use case?
