최종실류 소고춤은 우리 민족예술의 역사와 함께 탄생된 풍물 또는 남사당패의 연희춤에 뿌리를 두고 있으며 우리 민족의 영원과 사상을 담고있는 미학의춤, 타무로도 불린다.
이에 오늘날 최종실류 소고춤 보존회를 설립해 수많은 예술인들에게 전승되고 있으며 하나의 장르로 자리매김 하고 있다.
최종실류 소고춤은 소고놀이의 독특한 춤사위와 가락을 짜임새있게 구성하여 복원시킨 춤으로 경쾌하면서도 절도있게 몰아치는 춤사위가 특징이다.
소고춤의 형식은 길놀이, 굿거리, 자진모리, 동살풀이, 휘모리 순으로 사물놀이 연주와 태평소 반주가 춤을 이끌어가며 치고, 달고, 맺고, 풀고 하는 장단에 맞추어 소고를 두드리는 가락에서 나오는 흥과 신명나는 몸짓을 통해 혼을 담은 춤이다.

Choejongsil Sogochum has its roots in the Pungmul or the Yeonhui(Korean traditional dramatic performing arts)dance of the Namsadangpae that was born along with the history of the Korean people.
Today, the Choejongsil Sogochum preservation society was established and passed down to many artists, and Choejongsil Sogochum is established as a genre.
Choejongsil Sogochum is a dance that is structured and restored with the unique dance moves and rhythms of Sogonori.
It is characterized by light and sophisticated movements. Samulnori rhythm and Taepyeongso melody lead the dance in the order of Gilnori, Gutgeori, Jajinmori, Dongsalpuri, Hwimori. Choejongsil Sogochum is a dance that contains the soul through the excitement and exhilarating gestures that come from the beat of the Sogo to the rhythm of beating, settling, resolving, and soothing.
