Can You Beat Gran Turismo 2 Without Upgrading Any Cars? (NO RACE CARS)

We've now completed no upgrade challenges on many different racing games, ranging from several need for speed entries, and Gran Turismo 4 which has made a grand resurgence in popularity over the last couple of years.

But let's rewind the clock a little and head back to the height of the PlayStation one era to enjoy one of the most universally loved racing games of all time, not only that, it was also the third best-selling game on the PS1 of all time, Gran Turismo 2.

Gran Turismo 2 had an astronomical selection of cars for the time, with just shy of 650 vehicles to choose from, yes some of these were racing variants of the standard car, but this brought about the real-life racing counterparts of many different cars & would often vastly change the look & body style of the car itself. With a firm step forward towards the car tuning & driving sandbox, let's answer the question.
