Digital photo editing software like photoshop has made it easy to refashion photos, enhancing their appeal and enabling trickery and deception. But the software is only the latest technology in photo manipulation. In the dawn of photography, the desire from some to tamper with images. Photoshop is now just a further development of this age-old tool. Back then, the ability to bend the truth, often for propaganda purposes was possible using a brush. So what about photography's claim to represent the truth? Photoshop has taught us not to believe anything unless we've seen it with our own eyes. But where does the truth stop, and the fake begin?
