I knew the front left damper was stuck on soft, but when the damper was stripped for rebuild we found the adjuster had unscrewed itself from the end of the damper shaft and the damper was damaged internally and not damping at ALL.

It had steadily worsened the previous day and I'd adjusted my driving style to suit. I knew the car was handling much worse than usual and you can hear it surging under acceleration as the wheels are bouncing.

Overall I'm delighted with the trip, even taking into account the suspension problem. No other breakages during the trip meant I was able to get loads of laps in.
