From Garden Table to Wall Mosaic: Part 2 Making and Installation Nov 2020

I have a confession to make....
This is an ex-table. It is no more.
It has delaminated badly since putting it in the back garden in February. Marine plywood on a horizontal, you see. However all is not wasted.
It was important to show you that even the likes of a professional artist can make mistakes and that no matter, all shall be well. Nothing is ever wasted. Life is for learning 💗
The plan is in action, and I have decided to salvage and create a wall mosaic by repurposing the tessera.
In this film, I show the final stages of the mosaic making and then the installation in my garden.
It was a fresh November morning, around 12 degrees celsius. Thankfully, all went according to plan.
The grouting will take place in spring, as the cold weather will affect the finish. I'll no doubt create a filmette of that process. Watch this space!
