Pieter Boersma is in the family business together with his brothers and father. In 2015 they transitioned from a 2 x 10 herringbone parlor to 8x VMS™ milking robots. It’s a different way of thinking and a different way of working. DeLaval has helped the Boersma family with stable planning, like selection rooms, feed barns etc. “In the past 180 cows was easy to manage, with the 500 cows now I’m bit busier. But, with these 500 cows we have more freedom that with those 180, and that’s purely because of the VMS™ milking robot.”
