6x DeLaval VMS™ V300 milking robot – Van Thiel brothers, The Netherlands

When the time came to upgrade his existing carousel milking platform, Marijn and Pascal looked at replacing it with a new one, or changing the way they operated the farm. With a desire to reduce their reliance on large numbers of staff, they worked with DeLaval to develop a more automated solution. The result was a system utilizing five DeLaval VMS™ V300, and with growth, they has recently added a sixth. "It is going beyond expectations. Within a month we already had the production back that we used to milk in the carousel. We used to milk 12 hours a day, now the two of us can finish the big barn in 2 hours."
