Описание к видео Dr Neena Prasad -- Parampara Series 2020

Dr Neena Prasad is an internationally celebrated exponent of Mohiniyattam dance. She is not only a performer extraordinaire but also a researcher and academician. As the founder and principal of Bharthanjali Academy of Indian Dances in Thiruvanthapuram and Sougandika Centre for Mohinyattam in Chennai, she devotes herself to training young artistes in the nuances of South Indian classical dances. Dr Neena Prasad was also an acclaimed performer of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi before deciding to concentrate on Mohiniyattam.

Shri Wangkhem Lokendrajit Singh has won critical acclaim as a Manipuri dancer. He has been a flag bearer of Nata-Sankirtana, one of the pillars of Manipuri dance. A dedicated guru, he is an exemplary choreographer too. He is chiefly interested in choreography because it is inclusive of both performing as well as teaching.

This performance footage is a combination of the performance by Neena ji from the year 2009 and by Lokendrajit ji and group from the year 2016, both originally for Parampara Series in New Delhi.
