The Mojave Desert Lava Tube, Mojave National Preserve, Kelso, CA.

Remote and accessible by a dirt road passing through volcanic landscapes, the Mojave Desert Lava Tube is a rarity in the area. Because of that, it gets identified on Google Maps. The hike to it is merely a short walk (after enduring the dirt road drive). A flashlight is recommended, though it is only needed for a few seconds. The passageway to the large room requires crouching through the opening. Otherwise, it isn't much of a challenge. The light beam piercing the room is a truly unique sight.
