The Exhibition Centre at Olympia is transformed for the Ideal Home Exhibition - a look at some of the preparations and results.

Tracking shot going in the main entrance and panning around the centre. Various shots of sets being built, three men look over the plans for the next exhibition. Various shots of decorators painting fibreglass sheets yellow inside a designer's studio in Surrey. M/S of designer, David Gillespie, being past sheets of coloured fibreglass by an assistant. Another of Gillespie's assistants is seen working on transparent fibreglass in a lattice pattern. C/U of Gillespie working on his design, he takes a small sheet and adds it to his fibreglass model.

Various shots of the last minute preparations - carpets are unrolled along the walkways. L/S of the arched roof of the centre, tilt down to see hoards of the public enjoying the completed exhibition. C/U of a poster advertising the chance to own a tropical island - M/S of a salesman trying to sell this idea to a client.
