00:27 Parking lot
There is a lot of parking space near the Wedgemount trailhead. It can easily accommodate around 50 cars. There is also another parking lot down below where people also park their cars. As you start from the trailhead, you cross the Wedgemount creek as well.

01:18 Wedgemount trailhead
The actual trail starts after 300 meters from the parking lot. The trail gets steep from there almost throughout the entire hike. Initially, there is not much greenery along the trail as the most of the forest is mostly without vegetation on the ground but as you hike up, it keeps on getting more beautiful

The first creek comes at around 1 KM. The trail becomes a bit flatter here and gives some respite from steep trail but not for long though. After crossing the first creek, the trail also becomes more Rooty (a lot of roots along the trail)

The first minor boulder field appear at around 1.3 Km. Or almost 30 minutes from the starting of the hike. There are a few more such boulder fields along the trail. After the boulder field, the trail continues to be steep with even taller trees and little more vegetation on the ground but the amount of roots and dead woods on the trail remains the same or even more

This boulder field appears around 2.7 Km from the trailhead. The trail starts to open up from here. This place is also a nice to take a longer break or have light lunch before going to the lake. There is another stream after the big boulder field where you can wash your face and ger refreshed. The trail around area is relatively flat and easier. So, it gives a respite from the steep trail. The trail becomes steep again after some time after crossing the creek

08:20 Waterfall views
There are a few spots along the trail from where you get the waterfalls view through the canopy. It comes around 3.3 Km. This waterfall is fed through the glacial lake of Wedgemount from the top. During the summer when snow starts to melt, the waterfalls looks magnificent

Once you reach the meadow, you can see the surrounding mountains. You can also see the last stretch of the trial which leads to Wedgemount lake. There is a water stream in the meadow that you follow for some time before doing the final scramble

This is one of the hardest part of the hike as you hike through big boulders and slippery trail.
