A Windy Night Up The Cheviot Hills (50+ kmph). Solo wild Camping Northumberland (KUIU 'Storm Star').

It's been a while since I last pitched up The Cheviot Hills - and this was a spur of the moment decision to visit an old favourite hill of mine. It's not the biggest hill, standing at just over 320m, but it commands great views.
I'm really unfit at the moment, so I wasn't the only thing blowing up there 😬
The wind was relentless though, at a steady 20 - 30+ mph (30 - 50kmph) and that was without checking what the gusts were coming in at. But you know me, I'm never one to over-exaggerate wind speeds.
So it was basically find a pitch, there's not much shelter up there to hide from the winds, take some photo's and vid, and batten down the hatches. No worries being out in the KUIU Storm Star though, and the lack of flappage with this tent is always a bonus 😁⛺
