Faux wood - polymer clay tutorial 024

In this polymer clay tutorial I will show you my own method of creating faux wood. I honestly stumbled upon it one day when I was trying to make faux tiger's eye. If you didn't realize yet, serendipity plays a huge role in my life, haha
In this tutorial I used more colors than I normally use. Normally I study the wood I try to imitate then try to replicate the hues that that specific wood has in the grain. It is true that some essences may have many hues, like I used in this tutorial but usually there would be anywhere from 4 to 6.
Colors used: Souffle: ivory, poppy-seed, canary and cowboy. Fimo professional true red.
