This video is a demonstration of a Mosler multi-purpose time lock, one in a series known as TIMEBINATION locks since they combined a combination lock with a time lock to perform various duties. This was a Model D-C, delayed combination. The lock was designed to allow the user to keep the safe permanently locked by overriding the time locks until a secondary combination was dialed in to release the time locks and allow the primary combination to be dialed in thus opening the safe.
