Meet Ramendra Kumar, an award-winning writer and storyteller with an impressive collection of 49 books. His journey began 35 years ago when he embarked on an unconventional marriage with Madhavi. Their love knew no boundaries, transcending regions and castes.

As fate would have it, they crossed paths as trainees in the Rourkela Steel plant and fell for each other. However, Madhavi’s parents strongly disapproved of their union. Undeterred, Ramendra made a bold choice, resigning from his job and returning to his native Hyderabad.

But love refused to be silenced. Six months later, at Madhavi’s behest, Ramendra made the journey to meet her. They made the courageous decision to marry, and Ramendra submitted a request for reappointment in the RSP. Although he was taken back, he found himself two years junior to Madhavi and their batchmates. The path ahead was paved with struggle, shame, and humiliation, but their love only grew stronger.

After enduring a challenging 12-year journey, Ramendra and Madhavi both eventually achieved the position of General Managers at the Rourkela Steel Plant.
