St. Paul's Seminary Rushoroza family day celebrations 2023.

The Minister for Information Communication Technology and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has advised learners at St Paul’s Seminary - Rushoroza in Kabale district to be determined and concentrate on academics to achieve the goal of becoming priests.

Minister Baryomunsi was speaking to the congregation as the guest of honor at St Paul’s Seminary – Rushoroza in Kabale district as the school celebrated St Paul’s day in a move to fundraise funds to renovate the oldest senior and laundry dilapidated buildings. Minister Baryomunsi reminded learners that the discipline of seminarians is the one everybody would admire in the 1990’s, asking them to keep disciplined and have faith in God to become priests in the future.

Minister Baryomunsi further contributed 22 million and also pledged 10 computers to standardize digitalization at the school

The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon Catherine Ndamira Atwakiire, Kabale Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon Dr Nicholas Kamara and the Ndorwa East County Member of Parliament Wilfred Niwagaba advised learners to avoid bad peer groups that may ruin their future and concentrate on education rather than burdening and causing depression to parents due to indiscipline acts.

Rev Fr Augustine Tumushimwe, the rector of St Paul’s Seminary – Rushoroza in Kabale Municipality says they are hunting for 200 million shillings to renovate the dilapidated senior block and laundry, the oldest buildings at the school. Fr Tumushimwe revealed that the buildings have been in existence for over 50 years without being renovated. He added that the plans to have the buildings renovated was a recommendation of the seminary advisory board and stakeholders to dedicate St Paul’s day to the cause of renovating the buildings.


An overall total of 80 million shillings were collected in both cash and pledges towards the renovation of the oldest senior and laundry dilapidated buildings
