Conjunctive adverbs connect two independent clauses or sentences. Conjunctive adverbs bring together two complete thoughts.
They are also used to show sequence, contrast, similarities, cause and effect, examples, etc
If a conjunctive adverb is used at the beginning of the sentence then use a comma immediately afterwards.
