1998 Grandnational was won by Earth Summit and Carl Llewelyn starting off 7/1 Fav and becoming the first horse to win The Scottish, Welsh and English Grandnationals, the horse was owned by The Earth Summit Partnership which included former champion jockey Peter Scudamore, Ricky George remembered for scoring the equaliser against Newcastle Utd in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in 1972 for Hereford Utd where they went on to win the biggest giant killing in FA Cup history and Nigel Payne who was The grandnational press officer at the time.
