The Pendle Witch Trials (1612) - It All Began With .. Alizon Device

The Pendle Witch trials of 1612 is perhaps the most well known of all witch trials throughout the world, and it all began because of a chance encounter one day back on the 18th March 1612, when a young girl by the name of Alizon (Alison) Device was making her way to the Forest of Trawden.

Meeting a man by the name of John Law, what transpired that day would forever echo in the shadows that lie directly underneath the imposing Pendle Hill. Unwittingly, Alizon would set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately not only cost her own life, but that of many more people.

This is the story of how the Pendle Witch trials of 1612 began.
